Tongue-twister
i just attended the first session of our mandarin classes. initially i thought that it would be a little easier since i've been hearing people speak mandarin for a little over a year now. but hell no! hahaha. our teacher started with the pronunciation of the basic chinese syllables and some basic greetings. oh boy, it is hard! until now i'm practicing how to properly enunciate j, q, x, z, c and s. i won't be surprised if i wake up tomorrow with a s and z defect. kamote! hahaha

if it's any consolation, ako din nahihirapan sa mandarin, to think i'm full chinese :) hmm,i have friends who were sent by their parents to china to learn chinese. it gets easier daw kasi you're immersed in their culture. wala kang choice kundi magchinese..or make handgestures :)
thanks eugene. mahirap talaga. with the tones and all. i have to double my efforts as i've been here for more than a year na at hindi pa rin ako makapag converse with the locals. tsk, tsk..this will be tough, interesting but tough! hahaha.
salamat for adding me on your blog list. you have a very interesting blog.
sayang lang i won't be able to try going to cinemalaya. i've always wanted to but never had a chance.
hi ian. well, it's a great achievement once you succeed in learning mandarin! baka mas magaling ka pa niyan sa akin.
thanks for the compliment and for adding me up din. interesting ba ang blog ko? i'll call it drama blog for now. ginagawa ko siyang therapy e. nakakaabaliw kasi ang life lately.
so, nakanood ka sa cinemalay film festival the previous years? well, they've got 10 competing full length films this year. sayang nga hindi mo mapapanood. sana they release it commercially so that if ever you're here, mapanood mo :)
haven't been to any cinemalaya screening. a couple of friends were inviting me before i left manila but i wasn't able to go.
whatever works for you. you can also try writing sensitive stuff that you don't want to share in your blog in a piece of paper and then burn it. it is, in a way, an act of letting go.
i'm sure you'll be fine in no time.
